5 Tips To Write An Attractive SEO Friendly Quality Content

I have recently shared my tips to write an awesome and SEO friendly blog post. Today I am going to share my best tips to write SEO friendly Quality Content.

I do follow these tips and get surprising results from Google every time. My blog posts rank the first page quickly whenever I carefully follow these proven tips.

For your comfort, here are the quick links to go to each one of the 5 Tips for an SEO friendly Quality Content directly.

SEO Friendly Quality Content

What is the fuss about your content being quality one and at the same time SEO friendly? It has just about become greedy. While the quality content keeps the audience so long in our blogs, the SEO friendly content keeps on sending the organic audience from search engines. A double benefit, isn’t it?

More or less, writing SEO friendly quality content is over-delivering to your blog audience. It is definitely not about keyword stuffing. Writing such content comes only from the practice. SEO is not about only keywords. It is more about improving readability through optimizing blog post structure and using search engine understandable rich snippet formats. You must keep on reading below for information on that.

Tip 1: Content Organization

  • Effective Content Writing Planning
  • Draw the Blog Post Structure
  • User-Generated Content Like Blog comments

#1 Effective Content Writing Planning

First created in mind. Second in reality.

An SEO friendly quality content won’t happen all a sudden. It must be planned in mind well first. You have to plan how to write a piece of content in a way that should entice your readers and must be SEO friendly.

How to do the effective Planning?

Think before you write – You need to think a lot about producing quality content. Ideas may come at any time. When you start thinking initially, it may seem unclear and blur. On the go, after some time, things become more clear, and mind produces quality ideas.

When the quality ideas flow, take note it down on a paper or in any editing tool. You can later expand them in detail. If you think a lot and could generate only 5 to 7 quality ideas, it is enough you can write complete content out of those ideas.

If you think of a resource, a quote or any information, immediately take note of it, else I am sure you will forget it later.

Another thing I want to tell you is, write lengthy content. If you do not have the habit of writing lengthy content so far, start writing lengthy content in one sit for 8 to 12 hours.

Do you know how this habit helped me to write quality content?

I found this interesting thing. I can’t write a half-baked content writing lengthier. I couldn’t write anything useless; anything doesn’t make sense, copy and paste jobs.

Writing lengthier content forces you to write unique, informative and useful stuff.

#2. Draw the Blog Post Structure

Take a piece of paper or a drawing tool on your computer and draw the structure of your blog post.

This way is a must step to follow before start writing content and make easier to write the content fast.

Personally, I feel this is so much effective and increased my writing speed four times faster. Usually,

I would take four days to complete a 3000-word post. But after having the blog post structure in my hands, If I start writing the content, I finish it in just one day.

If I draw the blog structure, it gives me the bright idea of

  • How many essential things need to include and each one is a small heading in the post?
  •  How the content begins and what I need to add in the introduction?
  •  How the content divided into the sub-headings and the sub-headings divided into the sub-sections further?
  •  How the content ends, and I should summarize all the critical information from above portions of the blog post?

Now I have the 5 to 7 key things available in one end, and in another end, I have the blog structure with sub-headings and sub-sections inside the sub-headings further.

Now I take each essential elements and put in the relevant heading area and write more for each thing (write quality information).

Your content gets 75% complete as of now.

#3. User-Generated Content Like Blog comments

It is usual we bloggers think that blog post ends in the last line of the post. It is untrue. Content goes longer than that via comments. Though search engines can differentiate the blog post content and comments, comments are visitor-generated content; Google tries to get more information from here about our content.

If the user writes the keywords in his comment, search engines know that the content talks about the “keyword” topic and gives the rank boost for the keyword.

If you see some of the epic posts from professional bloggers, they generate hundreds of comments and social shares (it is normal if a blog post gets a vast number of comments, it gets a massive number of shares too).

We must provoke readers to comment and participate in conversations. You must ask politely to join all readers via comments. You can do this always at the end of the post.

Next thing I want to tell you is how to write in the right format. We will see three important things in this part.

Tip 2: Things to Remember While You Write

  • Using Paragraphs, Headlines, and Sub-headers
  • Using Signal words and Make the sentences simple
  • Link to internal contents.

#1. Paragraphs, Headlines, and Sub-headers

Paragraphs

Write the content in 2 or 3 sentences. The 2 or 3 sentences may go up to 4 or 5 lines long. This way of sentence structure improves the content readability.

Refer my previous “Write Awesome and SEO friendly Blog Post” for more information.

Headlines

Headlines are essential in SEO. Headlines give the information about what the full post is all about. We should use the main focus keyword in headlines. Headlines are the only H1 title I use on any page.

Sub-headers

Sub-headers are essential in SEO. We can use the main focus keyword at least once in any sub-header. We can use LSI keyword variations of the focus keyword in other sub-headers. It lets the search engines know that the post is majorly all about “main focus keyword.”

#2. Use signal words & Make simple sentences

Signal words aren’t new to blogging or content marketing or copywriting.

These signal words keep the readers engaged to the content to keep on reading the content sentence by sentence.

An example is if you use the word ‘firstly,’ readers get excited about what is the first thing. Once you completed the paragraph and started the next paragraph with the word “Secondly” this keeps the reader interested to learn what is the next something to be said there. Thus these signal words keep the user in the loop and not them letting down your site.

#3. Add links to Previous content

We have to link to our previous content by adding relevant anchor text. This type of internal linking keeps the reader on our site for more time. Time-on-site is an essential factor for search engines to decide whether the page worthy of the keyword.

If we add links to our previous content, then search engines can understand that our all content are all like a spider home. All are interrelated one with another.

The third tip I like to give you is a beneficial one. This idea gives me a lot of visitors to my blog, more clicks, more leads and more sales.

Tip 3: Trigger Marketing

Trigger marketing – As the name “Trigger” suggests our content will have the marketing words which triggers (provokes) the visitors to take any action we want them to do.

When we write quality content, we need to have these trigger words often to provoke the visitor. But this trigger marketing is not just about the ON-page level. It must start even before that. It should start from the Google search results page. Wow! How to do that?

I will explain with an example for you.

We can do this trigger marketing thing in Google search results using Post meta titles.

How to use Post Meta titles?

Meta titles option is available to us for using search engine friendly post titles. If we don’t use Post Meta titles option, Google search engine considers the default post title we have given in the blog post.

Why am I mentioning about meta titles? You can write one post title for your readers. You can write a different variation of title for search engines using Post meta titles option.

The primary use of this with an example: If you write a review of a product, instead of using the “Product name+review” type of title, you can give a title like “How to use Product name to achieve this____”?

#1 Improving the CTR affects Search Engine Ranking

Post meta titles and Post meta description are both not directly search engine factors. But still, many SEOs claim that post meta titles and post meta description affect the search engines indirectly ranking because of the Click Through Ratio.

CTR is a factor in search engine rankings. When we optimize the post titles and post descriptions for more click-throughs, this improves the CTR significantly.

When the CTR improves, this gives the boost up for search engine rankings. Thus effective usage of Titles and descriptions in search results gives us the ranking improvement.

Improve the Call-to-Action

When we write quality content, we must make sure the content call the reader for doing an action; it can be any action, to click a link, to fill a form, to buy a product, etc.

Google search engine tracks the visitors once they landed on a page, to know what kind of activities they engage with the content, whether they write a comment, click an internal link. Also to know browsing time on the site, subscribe to an email list or click an external link, go to the website and do perform any actions like email subscription/buy.

Google considers that if a visitor who comes through search results perform any activities on our site or reads more (high Time-on-site) as a content quality factor.

This positively affects the search engine rankings. What the things can positively impact our rankings, we will have to improve it through writing quality content.

Next things I want to talk about AIDA method writing SEO friendly quality content.

#2 AIDA – Attention, Interest, Desire, Action

AIDA – It has been over a century since this term coined first. This term was referred early in the paper advertising media. In an advertisement angle, this term saw as follow:

We have to bring the attention of a person to see the advertisement; then we have to make the interested to see what the offer is, then the offer should entice the person to desire to purchase things and then finally make him take action(buying).

For an SEO friendly quality content, we have to adopt AIDA in the content in an effective manner. How to do that? How to write for the right audience to induce them to take action using AIDA method?

The beginning of the content should not start with an answer or information or the solution the reader looking. It won’t make the efficient conversion.

Instead, the beginning of the content should give an impression that the writing connected to the audience and letting them know there can be something for them in writing.

For example

In my last post about “writing awesome and an SEO friendly blog post.” I started this way.

When you read that, it gets your attention immediately as you have experienced this before.

When you were searching for the competitive keywords in Google, you found a blogger’s post rank the 1st place and your blog posts couldn’t rank even 3rd place.

So yours this previous experience immediately makes you connected when you read my first paragraph, and this is how my post grabs your attention.

As a next step, you have to keep the people interested in going through the full content.

For holding the captured attention, you need to share some relevant information and your expertise in that area. This makes the audience believing in your knowledge to get a solution/benefit for their problem/requirements.

The next step is “Desire” – an important step. This is where we keep the audience and make them ready to convert.

We have to talk about the results, how doing or getting something can bring them the results or solutions for their issues or their betterment.

If you are writing about products/services, then do not write about its features. It is the human tendency not to desire something for its features but only for the benefits.

If you write about services based business, include case studies how big brands & influential persons used your service and got instant results. These kinds of case studies help to a reader to desire to have something which is already used by their competitors and brands.

Another way to provoke desire in your readers, use the discounts and coupon codes they can get from you. This helps to the audience to try the services at cheap cost. If the product/service has the money back guarantee, then mention it.

The final step is Action

You have to write content in the way it gives some instant push to take action. The reader takes action based on few emotional factors. Scarcity is one of them. You must include the time sensitiveness of the product/service offering.

Search Google for more scarcity kind of factors to a human tends to respond fast and taking action.

You must make it easy to take action (signup form, call-to-buy) for your audience.

#3 Use “I” Factor

When you write quality content, include “I” and “You” words a lot. This makes the write-up in the conversational tone. This tone helps the reader engaged more with your content.

This makes the content not falling in the long-boring article type and also not in the re-write/ spinner article kind.

Google checks for these words which focus towards the audience.

Tip 4: On-Page Optimization for SEO Friendly

Three things I want to discuss on-the-page-level SEO.

  • Use an SEO plugin for on-page optimization
  • Mention the author name and bio
  • Heading tags Optimization

#1. Use the Yoast SEO plugin (Free and Premium)

Once you completed writing quality content, use the Yoast SEO plugin in the WordPress admin dashboard to optimize further the content quality and making the content SEO friendly.

This Yoast SEO plugin helps you to find out the Keyword usage, Keyword density, content readability, usage of Keywords in prominent places like the first paragraph, meta description, header tags (h2, h3), Post title (h1), etc.,

Yoast SEO plugin is available in both free and premium versions. The premium version allows up to 5 Keywords per page while the free version allows only one keyword per page.

Other features of the premium version of the Yoast plugin includes but not limited to internal linking suggestions, redirect manager and 1-year email support from the knowledgeable support team. Yoast will take care of your on-page factors.

#2. Mention the author name and bio

You should include the author name and brief bio of the author in the content.

At first, Google announced to include author info in Google search results and then later reduced the impressions on that.

Google claimed that the originality of the content could be traced if the content attested with the author info on each page level.

But Google later removed showing author photos and info at 2014 because the broader community didn’t follow the practice.

But still, the practice of showing the author photo and brief bio of the author provides credibility and authority to the content. Readers will find it easy to connect with the author.

The brief info can show the social media profiles of the author, and thus the audience can connect with the author easily.

It is now become habitual to write guest content for many websites, and each site showcases content from a network of guest authors.

Without the author info, entire pages of a website would be considered from the single author/website owner.

#3. Heading tags optimization

When you write the quality content, try to include the focus keyword in the page title, sub-headlines and other small titles.

This later will help you include the header tags in the appropriate places.

If you don’t include the keywords when you first write in the normal flow, then you will have to add them to content publishing stage artificially. This artificial addition will dilute the content quality and readability.

So remember to write the keywords in your content in the first go. Do not add them in publishing time.

You must carefully and optimally use H1, H2, H3, H4 tags. I have given the guidelines on using them in my previous post on ‘writing awesome and SEO friendly blog post.’

Tip 5: Keyword Optimization

  1.  Choosing the Keywords
  2.  Image Optimization
  3.  Fake comments reply using Keywords

#1. Keyword Selection

To write an SEO friendly quality content, you need to complete the keyword selection before start writing the content.

This gives the freedom while writing later to include the keywords on the single go.

We would not need to add them at the content publishing level. To select keywords, use any of the SEMrush, SEO PowerSuite, ahrefs tool.

Do not include a single keyword throughout the post multiple times to avoid keyword stuffing. Instead, a wise way to add the keyword numerous times is, using LSI keywords. This provides multiple variations for the same keyword. Use an LSI variation in the places you want to add your keyword.

I have already written about how to do the keyword research, effective way to boost your SEO rankings and best SEO predictions from 53 bloggers.

#2 Optimize Images to be SEO Friendly

Not only the text, but you must also optimize your visuals (images & videos) to make them SEO friendly. There are few ways to do that.

  •  Store your image files with the relevant keyword names in your computer and upload them on the same names. Search engines can trace the file names and find your keywords.
  • Before uploading the images to the server, improve the file quality and optimize them for speed.
  •  Include quality image which adds some value to the text content. Create screenshots for tutorials add necessary text markups in the image using image editor.
  • Another way to let the search engines know what the image is about, give alt texts while you upload them to your server.
  • Infographics are the more useful & creative way; we use images to convey information to the visitors. I see big blogs pay even $100 to create a single infographic. See then the importance of Infographics.

#3. [My Trick] Creating Comments Artificially with Related Keywords

Alert: I do not recommend this trick to try on your main blogs where your loyal audience regularly visits & comment.

This trick I used in my niche websites which I am developing to make money on the side.

Usually, niche sites suffer lack of user-generated content (comments). What we do then to bring aliveness is, generate artificial comments. This way we can boost up our ranking for our wanted keywords.

I do explain this with an example now.

If you have a niche website about iPhone earphones and have a review about particular earphone BeatsX, then we can create a comment like this.

“I am an iPhone user and have used every version from the start to until now. I was searching for the Apple BeatsX earphone model online, and I found your Apple earphone BeatsX review. Thanks for reviewing all the features. I found the review helpful. However, I want to know this earphone would be available in retail stores?”

As this comment includes the vital focus keyword “Apple earphone BeatsX review” and other LSI keywords related to that, Google can give more credit for these keywords to our review page.

Google likes the user-generated content more than our content. Google looks for the ‘thank you,’ ‘helpful,’ ‘good’ words from the user-generated comment to learn whether the blog post content is useful for the readers or not.

Do not miss to use this trick and rank high for the competitive keywords.

Conclusion

Above five tips shared here are all coming from the years of experience in writing SEO content and worthy to learn from a month-long content writing course.

SEO content writer is now a high paying profession.
Because of the popularity of SEO and Google algorithms update like Penguin & Panda, the need for quality content shot the roof.

The SEO content writing is now a high paid job pays even $20/hr to $100/hr provided the content quality is top-notch.

I request you to go through all the tips every time before you start writing content until it becomes a habit.

Writing SEO friendly quality content is easy if we keep the keywords in our hand first before start writing content. Then start writing keeping the readers in mind.

Write in a way you talk with someone. It is reader-friendly and thus becomes SEO friendly as search engines become more and more user-focused every day.

I wish you all in 2021 to write more SEO friendly quality content and get top rankings for your keywords.

Your focus keyword must be embedded in your quality content otherwise your efforts will go in vain and potential visitors will not be able to find you.

    1. Kevin,

Yes, but we must make sure the keywords go natural with the content flow. We should not add keywords randomly to improve keyword density. So, we should create SEO-friendly content rather than producing content and then making it SEO-friendly embedding keywords.
