In this post, I am going to tell How To Uninstall or Delete WordPress In cPanel & FTP

WordPress is an essential process where we can use various tools to create blogging and also mainly used for Content Management System. WordPress can be uninstalled in very easy manner.

For the beginners, the following instructions makes a way to easily understand how to uninstall WordPress from your server. It can be uninstalled in three ways. They are

1.File Manager                  2.CPanel(Quick Install)                   3.FTP

Uninstalling through File Manager is done via cPanel only.

Uninstalling WordPress Using File Manager

WordPress can be uninstalled using File Manager which can be done in very few minutes. Login to CPanel with your username and password as shown in the figure below.

CPanel will be opened, where we can see File Manager folder which is available below “Files” which is displayed in the image below.

Click on it where we can get CPanel File Manager which is open in new tab as we showed in the image below.

Here we can see the installed WordPress folder where al the files are embedded. Simply select the folder and click on to the “Delete” which is available at the top of the Panel which is shown in the figure below.

Now we get a message box for confirmation of deleting the folder as shown in the figure below.

Check the path of the folder which is shown in the message box. Note that the path cannot be deleted in that message box. Now click on to the “Delete all Files” so as to delete the folder which is shown in the image below.

Now the folder will not be available in the cPanel, hence it is deleted.

Uninstalling through cPanel

As shown in the first image login to the cPanel. Now search for Quick install folder which is available below the “software and services” as shown in the image below.

Click onto the Quick install where we get a screen. It shows all the installed applications which are shown in the image below.

In each installed applications, we can see the options for backup and for delete shown in the image below.

Now click onto the delete. We get a small confirmation box for uninstall or cancel it. Click on to the uninstall option as displayed in the figure below, where the folder will be deleted and no longer available at the cPanel.

Hence, the WordPress can be deleted.

Uninstalling Through FTP

The WordPress can be uninstalled using FTP. Now with an example of FileZilla Manager we can delete the WordPress easily. Login to the Filezilla as shown in the figure below.

Now search for the WP folder which you need to delete it. Select the folder  and right to view the delete option. Click on delete where we get a confirmation message to delete as shown in the image below.

Hence, the WP can be deleted in this way.

Note: Deleting the folder via FTP takes more time. Hence, uninstalling via File Manager and Quick install is an easy way.
Thus, the WordPress can be uninstalled using cPanel and FTP.
