How To Make a Sticky Post In WordPress
Each and every post has a unique value for the beginner as well as the author. Some post will have more value, because of its content and importance, such that all beginners looking for. This kind of post can be stick into the first page of our blog site. It is a simple procedure where the post can be called as “sticky post”.
Now, let’s go with the steps.
Login to Dashboard -> Post -> Add New to writing your post, Once you done with writing we can see publish module as a drop-down list box which is available at the right side of the same post screen as shown in the figure.
Click on the drop-down list box to see the content of that module. (In a simple sentence it the module where, we used to save the draft and publish.) Here we could see around eight options. This sticky post can be done “visibility” option, click on the “edit” as shown in the image below.
We get three checkboxes which are mentioned above in this post, where by default “public” checkbox is marked as shown in the image below.
Click on to the rectangular checkbox that is “Stick this post to the front page” so that the important post will be noticed first in our blog site as shown in the image.
We can write as many posts in future for our blog, but the sticky post appear first in our site. We can also update our post with this option marked.
How To Set a Password For WordPress Post
This can be noticed in the same publish module as shown in the below.
Mark the checkbox where we need to provide a password. Click ok as shown in the image below.
Note our visibility option will be changed as”Password Protected”. Now check the preview for this post, yes we need to enter the password before looking our post as shown in the image below.
Also, we can notice this post will be titled with the “protected” key as shown in the image below.
Only the users who know this password can be view this post. This option is useful for the authors who sell the post.
Thus, the password can be given for the post.
How To Create a Private Post In WordPress
This option is also visible in the public module. This will make your page/post visible only to users who have Editor and Administrator roles on your site. Private posts are invisible to the general public as well as users with the roles of Follower, Contributor or Author. Once you mark this option we can see the visibility as “private” as shown in the image below.
Now in our blog site the title will be obtained with “Private” key as shown in the image below.
Note: Before changing the visibility mode be sure that you done with your post completely because once changing your visibility mode and click to “ok” it may published in your site.
