For sure his hard work leads him to bigger steps for success. Don’t miss his awesome blogs which are useful and in a good quality. all contents in his site are really superb and very informative!!

if you like to ask any questions, you can ask it by your valuable comments and get his exclusive answers. so read and enjoy the blog!!

1. Kindly share few things about you and blog

My name is Erik Emanuelli and I’m a professional blogger. I offer freelance writing and social media marketing services.

I run several websites, based on different business models. My main site is NoPassiveIncome, where I share tips about blogging, social media, SEO, internet marketing and online business.

2. What made you enter blogging world?

I started blogging in free time back in 2010 (when I was still employed as Export Manager). Due to a company crisis, my position was in danger and I had to search for an alternative way to gain money. I simply searched via Google “how to make money with internet” and everything started from there.

I created my first website with Blogger and, just after 3 months, I migrated to a self-hosted domain with WordPress. I then kept adding properties at my portfolio.

3. How long you spend time in your blog per day.

It really depends on duties and personal commitments. Sometimes as little as 2-3 hours, while other days I work up to 12 hours.

4. How was your experience in blogging at the beginning stage?

I remember it was hard, really hard. I had to study how to use WordPress, how to create good content, how to properly do internet marketing. The biggest challenge was the “technical side”.

It took me a long time to set everything to self-host my blog and understand all the options in the cPanel of my shared hosting account.

Today, for more than one year, I’ve got a dedicated server, for all my websites. I love the fast loading speed and the lack of issues (only cons, the cost!).

5. Can you share a few things for newbies to make them success in blogging?

Aside from having passion for the topic you choose, you need to be persistent. I had to invest more than 3 years of my free time on working on my blogs, before actually getting in return a decent income. I can say, from experience, that online success does not arrive overnight.

I’ve seen many good friends quitting during these years, and not because they were bad bloggers. I think you need to work on building different sources of income and having a plan really helps in this matter.

6. What all the tools you suggest for improving the blog of the beginners?

A professional theme is a must and being able to personalize it is a plus. There are a few premium tools you must have, like a good SEO tool and one for building a mailing list.

7. Can you share your blog future plans?

Sure, I plan to add more articles about online and small businesses, other than traditional blogging and internet marketing tips. I already added a new category at my site.

I also plan to create an online course, sharing my six years of experience (and probably selling it via Udemy).

8. What made your blog success?

I think because I share practical and honest tips, not fluff or nonsense articles.

9. What did you learn from blogging?

Internet is full of opportunities and what works for me, it may not work so well for you. You need to find out what you are good at and work on those skills.

I learned that having multiple sources of incomes is the best way to minimize the risks and working on different projects will increase your business opportunities, overtime.

10. What was the exciting moment you experienced in blogging?

When I earned my first dollars online. If I remember correctly, it was June 2011 and I made ten bucks, from selling an ad on my blog.

11. What do you think about my blog?

You have an excellent clean design, I love it! And your content is full of good tips and practical guide. I like to use screenshots, like you do. Keep up the great work!

12. Which source is the best to make your blog success?

Networking with people within your niche, both popular and less known bloggers.

13. Name the people you’ve met while working on your blog?

There are a lot of names I could mention, but these folks are always inspiring me:

  • Ann Smarty
  • Gail Gardner
  • Kristi Hines
  • David Leonhardt
14. Are you a full-time blogger? Or is it just a hobby?

Yes, I work full time online.

15. What do you feel the best thing a blogger can give to his/her readers?

Honest, practical and useful articles about the topic you love.

  3. As always, Erik, you have been great at giving interviews. What i liked the most is the networking thing. Its always a good idea to network people in your niche. Small or Big, everyone matters.

  4. Again I would like to add on the networking thing you discussed. They say, ‘Your Network is your Net worth’. It can completely help you in your niche website, as with the correct network with the people in your niche you can land some really great marketing campaigns, guest posts, attract their audience as well. it is all about making and building your network, leveraging it is really the easy part.
Another great interview in your series, Satish. 🙂
