The problem is that a lot of people mistake these comment sections for somewhere they can spam and leave a link to their website. What they don’t understand is that Google almost doesn’t care about that link. All a comment can do is:
1) Either provide some quality feedback to the article.
2) A way to connect with other bloggers.
Does it really matter if the link is do-follow or no-follow?

Yes, getting backlinks is a tedious process. Just by commenting on a post for the sake of getting backlinks will not help. Hi Satish, I found your site just looking for blogs with open comments to make back links. Having said that, however, I fully agree with your thoughts / advice, so much so that I have always put them into practice. And I’ll tell you more: even in searches with footprints, by inserting a certain keyword, often in the results there are blogs without thematic coherence. So for SEO they would not be relevant, or rather we could say that they could be considered not good. Yet entering those sites almost always find a lot of generic comments for building backlinks.
And even if they are not really themed, often however there are some really interesting articles that maybe looking for them normally you would never find them. And sometimes I leave a comment, logically themed and if possible I insert a link that can have a coherence.
Speaking of “bad links” also links in the footers (like “powered by xxx”) or ghost links (the hidden ones that many web masters build, and I find with SEMrush) in theory Google classifies them as bad links.
And using Semrush I noticed that almost always, however, the competitors that appear on the first page in google results have produced thousands of those backlinks with a strong imbalance in favor of dofollow links.
So Google preaches good but then gasps badly, given that those sites are rewarded rather than penalized? Surely yes … as long as they can. Then maybe one day google will notice and adopt manual penalties, but apparently it is much more effective to go against the rules.
Having said that, I still dream of a better web and therefore in my backlink creation I always hope to give a minimum of contribution. sometimes I also happen to just compliment the completeness of the article, specifying at least because I really liked it (SO FUNDAMENTAL READ IT!).

Returning to your advices … however, I sometimes build the link with the keyword also because by doing so, in addition to improving the SEO of my projects, I also give a clear message to users who read my comment (if they read it). Ultimately that’s the real purpose of links, to create continuity.

So, as far as we do it naturally, it makes sense. In this way, blog commenting also helps us to interact and befriend with others.
